The New ELEKTRON
Combines
all advantages of fully electric injection moulding machines and
delivers better advantage on productivity and power consumption as
compared to hydraulic machines. Innovative drive concepts and the long
standing experience of Ferromatik Milacron in fully electric injection
moulding machines warrant high availability and economics.
The
ELEKTRON offers you the possibility to take advantage of the undisputed
optimum energy performance of fully electric injection moulding
machines at a remarkable price –performance ratio.
- Fast, quiet,
clean and energy-efficient--these are the most important
characteristics of the ELEKTRON Series all-electric injection moulding
machines.
- As a result of
their short cycle times and high reproducibility output can increase by
as much as 30% and energy costs are reduced by 50%.
- The ELEKTRON
Series all-electric machines do not require hydraulic oil, therefore
need no cooling and give off very little heat into the environment.
That makes them easy to maintain.
- The innovative drive concept based on servo motors ensures extraordinary precision and highly dynamic production.
The Injection Unit
Servo
drives of the newest generation execute the injection process. The
transfer of force is carried out by means of ball screws. A
hydro-pneumatic system- perfectly designed for actuation and
performance – controls the movements of the injection unit. Linear
bearings assure precise and smoothly sliding movement of the unit.
The Clamping Unit
Independent
of what mould is being applied, the robust clamping unit warrants a
highest level of stability and platen parallelism. The toggle mechanism
achieves the best possible combination of large platen distances (and
long strokes) and a compact design.
The platens are optimized through FEM analysis and equipped with a EUROMAP mould mounting pattern.
The Drives
The
drives of the ELEKTRON are servomotors and drive-control technology of
the newest generation. Increased economics and best quality are the
result. The positioning is directly controlled through the drives axis.
The extremely fast data transfer between machine control software,
drive control system and motor via POWERLINKTM warrants fastest
response times.
Visual operator interface for reliable production
Operator’s
terminal is movable between injection and Clamping unit. The Control is
Operator friendly and easy to set with its clear Screen architecture.
The operator terminal usefully combines Modern and proven elements. It
is equipped to the highest Specification, for example, with a high
quality state of the art TFT Flat screen.
A
special technical refinement: freely configurable pages making the
machine even easier to operate. These operator pages permit the
required values to be selected in any sequence and installed on 3
screen pages, e.g. ideal for “lights out” operation.
