contactor logic control. We introduced OMEGA in this segment with
intelligent microprocessor based control.
Birth of OMEGA
SIGMA and MAGNA
range introduced in Indian market in 1996-97 earned a good name for
reliability, productivity and low operating costs. Milacron proficiency
in technologies of materials, mechanicals, hydraulics and controls had
given these machines robustness required for reliability and agility
needed for productivity.
Cost sensitive household sector also
accepted the SIGMAs based on the price-performance benefits. These
customers got the taste of the power of intelligence built into the
machine with microprocessor control, such as - to retain and recall
once optimized mold settings, process optimization through central
operator control, prevention from continuing faulty production, and,
assistance in diagnosing the faults. But, the stroke and daylight
limitations of toggle clamp mechanism restricted their use. At this
stage Milacron responded to this need with a new series of hydraulic
clamp machines - OMEGA
Its performance in productivity,
consistency and repeatability made it a worthy work-horse from Milacron
stable not only for house-hold sector, but, for molding
functional parts as well.
OMEGA inherits features, which made SIGMA and MAGNA robust and agile machines.
